Title Plaque
This is the group project table for which Cheltenham branch won a silver award at Sugarcraft '97. The theme for the Group Project was TRAVEL. The table had to include six set pieces, A Cake Reflecting the Theme (20%), A Model Showing Appropriate Transport (15%), A Plaque or Picture (5%), A Floral Exhibit (5%), A Novelty Cake (15%) and A Work in Marzipan (10%), the remaining 30% was for overall interpretation of the theme, planning and content.
We chose The Golden Age of Travel as our theme, inspired by the book of the same name by Alexis Gregory. There were four of us involved (the minimum allowed), myself, Kathy Bickerdike, Rachel Creber and Monica Lock. Some pieces were done by individuals and some were joint endeavours.
To have a closer look at the exhibits move the cursor over the exhibit and when a hand appears click the left mouse button. Alternatively click on the links beside the picture.
I hope this insight into how we put together our group project table will be of interest and may encourage you to have a go in the future.
